Boots No. 7 Make-Up?

What do you think of No. 7 make up? Is it good quality stuff?

I need to get a new foundation and I have been using for the past year or so Clinique Superbalanced Foundation but at £18.50 a bottle, it is pricey, and it usually only lasts me a month or two, so is costing me around £150 a year, just for foundation!! It is good it isn't amazing, not good enough to warrant £18.50 anyway!

I have been looking at No.7 products but have never actually used anything from their range apart from a mascara (which was rubbish). So can you lot tell me what you think of No. 7 products, I would be most grateful!

Or, if you can recommend a decent foundation, that would be brilliant!

Ta!

I am 21 in two weeks, I just want something to give me even coverage really. I hate thick foundations that you can feel on your face but I find powders don't give enough coverage.

oh my, cant even remember being that age - lol

have you tried to go into stores, many now will try the stuff on and explain, boots, the body shop, house of frazer etc, etc, at 21 i would say go for a tinted moisturiser unless you want more coverage than that

I have Benefit Bad Gal in the original Black and the Bad Gal Blue.

I don't really like the original Bad Gal, too clumpy and doesn't seem to do much for my lashes but I love Bad Gal Blue, it seems to be a different consistancy, much easier to apply.

I have never tried Benefit Foundations or Concealers, I have always thought about trying their Some Kinda Gorgeous Foundation Faker but it has mixed reviews!

Can I just ask what it is, if it a light coverage foundation or something? It is marketed as a "foundation faker" but not sure what that means!

I use benefit play sticks for evening/ nights out - they look small but last forever. I have also just tried you rebel light tinted moisturiser and really liked it. Great for daytime and summer use. Still not cheap products but well worth it and i find the play sticks last me ages.

It's kind of a solid cream and you use a brush/sponge to put it on. I would say it is a kind of light coverage thing yeah. It covers really well though and evens out skin tone.

As a make up artist I can truelly say you certainly get want you pay for when it comes to foundation. I know a good foundation can be pricey but to be honest if you scrimp and save on foundation for a cheaper brand, you may not acheive such a flawless finish. If your foundation doesn't look right on your skin, then the rest of your make up wont either. A good foundation is key to giving your make up a polished look. If you want to save on the pennies... you can buy cheaper lip-liners, blushers, and eyeliners with which you can still acheive a flawless finish with.

My suggestion is always invest in good skin care, concealers and foundations. The rest you can get away with!

I do spend quite a bit on skincare as I don't want horrible skin when I am older. I use the Clinique 3 Step System and have been using that since Christmas. I don't actually own a proper concealer though, I do have the YSL Touche Eclat though but I really don't get on with that.

Can you suggestion a good foundation?

I know and I am very grateful for all the suggestions but I was just asking Miss Money Penny she said she was a make up artist so I assume she will know what ones are good and what are rubbish.
