Hi, I recently bought a pair of trainers from Amazon, few days later, the price got reduced by £29.99. I haven't received the trainers yet.
The question is, will Amazon refund me the difference or will I have to send them back and reorder?
To be honest, I would like that £30 pounds back, because that is a big difference.

Thanks

Yep, sent an email to their customer services. Hopefully they will refund me the difference.
It has annoyed me a bit.

I read here before that they do refund on price drops, unfortunately I have just searched and seems they have stopped doing this now.

People still say; contact them, complain and they may give you a refund of the difference.

You have 7 days cooling off period, so cancel the order, and order them again at the new price.

If all else fails, just order another pair and refuse the 1st delivery.

As ASB says, refuse delivery if you're going to buy a second pair because if you accept delivery of the first pair, you'd have to pay the return postage to Amazon (unless they're faulty etc).

Cheeky! Good idea though!

if they went up in price, would you be fully satisfied with paying amazon some more money?

I recognise you have a choice of retailers and appreciate that you prefer to order from us. Please note that we do not extend a post-order price guarantee.

I've reviewed your order and see that the price change was significant and you just received this item from us. Under the circumstances, I'll make a one-time exception for you and issue a refund for the price difference in the amount of 29.99 GBP. Refunds usually go through within 2 to 3 business days and you will see this amount credited on your next statement.

On the date the refund is completed, we'll send you an e-mail message confirming the date, amount and payment details. You can see completed refunds when you visit Your Account, after receiving this confirmation e-mail.

In the Orders section, click on "view recent and open orders" and sign in with your e-mail address and password if requested. The refund information will be visible at the bottom of the relevant order's summary page.

Please understand that I'm issuing this refund because of the exceptional circumstances, and I'm doing this for you against our standard policy.

Thanks for shopping at Amazon.co.uk. We look forward to your next visit.

****ing brilliant, I say. Because I'm in a strange kind of mood. I am reping everyone that posted. Thanks.
