where did you get it from, was the box sealed...?
Depending on where you got it will depend on if you get a refund or not...
Wyou game card will show what you purchased, but would hunt for receipt if i was you.. but if you can't find it maybe your bank statement would help if you used your card???

I had this happen last year with a game I bought from Game. I went in as soon as they opened, with the case and the receipt, expecting a faff-on, but they were sound and straight away gave me the game. Fingers crossed you'll get yours.

This happened to us with a game for DS we ordered from play.com. It was sealed, but no game inside. They said we had to contact the manufacturer and also said we should have checked it when we got it - but who opens a sealed game to check that there is a game there???

No you didnt :) GT5 isnt released yet and nor will it be released on the PC....

Sorry had to correct ya lol, Anyways back on topic... I work at EB Games here in Australia. Our policy is if the box was sealed and there was no game in it then we cannot take it back it's neither our responsiblity and it's a production fault even though you have a reciept I really dout Game would take it back i'm afraid.... Though if the box was not sealed when they sold it to you then you maybe have some luck bringing up the issue to the store manager and seeing weither or not new employees have been put on shift when you bought it. When i first started work at EB Games I did this 5 times to customers so it's an employee fault if the box was not sealed hope you get it sorted x x x

Merry Xmas!

GT in this context is usually Gran Turismo which is a Playstation exclusive franchise, what game are you referring to?

Different trading Laws here in the UK it would seem. The responsibility lies with the retailer in such an event even if the box was sealed and NOT the manufacturer , regardless of whom may be at fault as the contract of sale is between the customer and the retailer and nobody else.

i went in to game today and spoke to a sales assistant beside the door and told her it was a xmas gift for my partner and he opened it yesterday and offcourse he went to play it and it was empty and i took it back to get the game put in the box and the till assistant was to busy id ing me at the time and didnt swap them over, and the sales assistant re id'd me and then went and got me the game after checking the box and the shop was so busy that it was double quing to the point they had to close the shop for 30 mins just to let customers get out as they're was no room to get moved.

think i was lucky to get them to give me the game i think if it was another day i would have had a argument on my hands.
