She was trying on an eternity ring too to make sure it would match. She's going to be wearing all 3!

Crikey, mine are all abandoned somewhere, couldnt wear them, certainly not all together, I occassionally wear my wedding ring ( if I can find it ) on special occassions.
I thought eternity rings were for after the birth of first child or so many years married?

She reckons 1yr marriage? Lol

Good luck with the wedding day lumoruk
I never wear (or wore) rings but I wear my wedding ring all the time now.
I take it off for baths/showers and sometimes forget to put it back on straight away, and feel a bit strange without it now

Well pregnancy is only nine months, she could be right about the 1year as long as you are quick:-D

Found this on web

Once the wedding is complete the next stage in a couples life together is as a family. In terms of jewellery children are celebrated by the purchase of eternity rings that are meant to go on the third finger of the left hand along with the wedding ring and the engagement ring. Eternity rings tend to be diamond rings with multiple diamonds set in to the band for half or the whole of its circumference. The latter been known as full eternity rings. Current trends include eternity rings with other gem stones as well as diamonds and full eternity rings are still very popular.

So you been looking at cribs and prams too?:whistling:

Interesting we bought our wedding rings on Sunday in Brums jewellery quarter, both platinum and here in 3 weeks. Manages to get a decent price as well.

I know the engagement ring is supposed to be three months wages, but I wasn't sure of the 'accepted' price of wedding rings.

Isn't that a bit cheap?

And these things matter because EVERYONE has to know how much you paid. You have to wear the price tag with the ring, just so people know you've paid the required amount. :whistling:

Hey - I'm not the one posting the cost on a website.

I was just wondering if there is an agreed upon amount for wedding rings.

I actually find the whole 'having to pay a certain amount' stuff quite silly to be honest, but so is the whole idea of marriage.

The " guidance " I think is two/three a mans monthly wage for an engagement ring. Wedding rings are much cheaper.

Not that it matters at all really, a curtain ring'd do it :) ;-)

Eternity rings are generally the most expensive, all those diamonds!

dude we just picked the rings we liked, I said £200 for hers £100 for mine but went way over as the £100 ones were whack! Mine isn't even gold it's Palladium :whistling: part of the Platinum group of metals but a lot cheaper. Besides she's already got a wedding ring (inherited) that I've had white gold plated but it's only 9ct her new one is 18ct so it matches her engagement ring. I paid £900 for the engagement ring. If I still worked at Tesco that would be over a months wage  but she chose the ring she liked I said she could have one with £1,500 price tag when we discussed getting married months ago.

Yes marriage is silly but its been her dream and I'm not going to deny her that because I love her so much
