Breast Reduction Surgery

Has anyone had any experience of breast reduction surgery ?
Was it here or overseas ?
Was it successful ?
I'm booked in for the proceedure on the 7th February and I'm worried about the risk of scarring despite seeing the 'before' and 'after' images.Although I'm having it done in the U.K. some of the 'better' results appear to be from overseas surgery.

best thing i ever had done, 7 yrs ago now, had 2.2lb removed from each one, 50 stitches in each, won't say it didn't hurt, it did but was so worth it. Scars are hardly visible and never stopped me going topless on holiday last few yrs, good luck

I want mine done, and i worry about the surgery, my mother had hers done a few years ago and loves them, she teases me buy buying normal bras instead of boulder holders

All those saying its a bad idea dont have to wander round with them on their chest, Op is actually worried, im pretty certain she has already had enough silly or suggestive comments in real life without needing more of them on here, try and have a little sensitivity

no pics sorry lol also went on to have them pierced too and that didn't hurt as much as i thought it would either.

if you can go for the option of having the nipple kept attached, where they cut round it and stitch it back in, heals quicker !

i had my done on NHS at whythenshawe hospital

I'm paying to have it done after years of seeing insensitive GP's who I think just took it as requesting the proceedure on a 'whim'. Can't wait :3

Anyone had it done on the NHS? If so on what grounds?
The other half wants a reduction even though I love her fun bags, but would support her wishes as it causes her back pain.

i did wait 7 yrs after seeing insensitive drs too, i flipped last time i saw the consultant and told him i'd had enough and if he didn't do it i'd attempt the op myself and he'd have to repair my work, i was desperate enough then to try to slice myself!! funny enough 6 weeks later i had it done.

The waiting list in the NHS is very long - been trying for ages - half the battle is getting a sympathetic GP. As resources are being cut in the NHS the chances of getting this done are very slim.

i suffered for 7 yrs, back ache, grooves in shoulders, sweat rashes underneath that made me scratch them so much i bled, unable to buy nice bra's, trouble with clothes and just generally depressed about the the whole thing

Good luck and congrats to those who have took the step, many people think that women all want larger breasts, but they can be uncomfortable due to the leverage the exert on your back/shoulders.

Typically its the blokes in this thread (except me) who are against this, are they all that selfish they would rather see women suffer for their own enjoyment of large breasts?

I can actually sympathise with the OP - invasive procedures like this are always a concern. A few years ago I went through something similar and I got a bit of teasing for it.

But **** reduction surgery is still a bit of a taboo. Fortunately, one is enough for any man.

i was married during the waiting time, going thru divorce at time of surgery so he never saw the end results lol i still think mine are too big now, not enough was taken off imho, my other half loves em but wishes he knew me before and would have talked me out of it lol

You made a mistake posting it here tho.

Not really I have found this thread informative, and all the bashers are more used to bashing something else over their large breast fantasies, you soon learn to ignore them.

I do know someone who did have this done on the NHS, she is really happy and she looks really good.

Thanks tinks - it's neither embarrassing or shameful - just wondered what other peoples experiences were. If the wolves are hungry anything will bring them out to play :p

i had a breast reduction 9 years ago on NHS i was sent to Manchester for it doing at a private clinic was best thing i ever did.
im only 4ft 9 and had a 34FF i went down to a 34C but they did grow again and they will warn you of this im now a 34DD.
be prepared for pain i was in agony for 3 weeks afterwards but things might have changed now as my mother had her breast reduced last month as she had breast cancer and to remove it all had to give her a reduction at same time but she wasnt in any pain afterwards so they might do surgery different to when i had it done you wont regret it. the scaring does look bad to start with but when it fades you dont even notice i still go topless aboard :)
good luck hope all goes well
