Watched Britain's Fattest Woman last night on channel 4 simply out of morbid curiosity.
As Robbie Williams said, "I'm just a fat bloke dying to get out"
I try to do my best to keep that fat bloke locked in.
48 stone!!! For a woman who is 33 years old. 20 stone for ANYONE is a lot even a 6'6"" rugby player or heavyweight boxer. But over double that?!!
My 1st question is - did you see it and what are your thoughts?
2nd question is - I think this is a mental health issue - should TV companies be using this as entertainment and should the NHS be complicit in it?
3rd is - if you can get addicted to food as this woman and her husband are and people get addicted to drugs and alcohol - although all "self inflicted" where do your opinions lie? No one forces them to eat, drink, inject or should there be better help to address the underlying problems?
4th - Gazza - widely accepted as one of the best and most charismatic English footballers of the last 30 years - admittedly an area lacking in charisma - is going to be more widely known as a prolific drunk by a lot of people nowadays.
5th - Answer one or all of the questions if you like? I don't comment on threads about TV shows I haven't watched as I can't make an informed opinion but feel free if you feel the need.
What are your thoughts?

Probably best to read the points before commenting - or just ignore if of no interest. I'm not trolling - just looking for a snapshot of opinion.
