Hi, thought this info may be useful to some people :) British Gas Click Energy 4 prices are still the same, they havnt been increased by the 15% as reported in the press recently!

For anyone who doesnt know, click energy 4 is the totally online tariff thing from BG where you get all your bills/statements online. The unit prices for gas and elec on click energy 4 are quite a bit lower than most atm, prices can be checked here: http://www.britishgas.co.uk/products-and-services/energy/dual/click-energy/rates-page.html

Electric especially is about 10p per unit cheaper in some regions, gas is around 2p cheaper per unit. You also get £15 a year for having dual fuel with them and a discount if you pay by direct debit.

I work at a British Gas call centre so any questions I should be able to answer!

BG are a robbing bunch of ******** !

I was paying £120 per month for duel fuel with them, moved over to Powergen & was paying £75 p/m, and we had that much credit, they have cut down the payments to £50 pm !!

It was probably due to the meter readings given by your previous supplier that made british gas seem so high. When you switch over to them, the old supplier normally gives BG an estimated reading and then when BG take an actual reading from you, you get billed for usage that should have been charged by the other supplier.

Prices arent really THAT much dearer with British Gas!
