My elderly father has asked me to link his British Gas utility account with his Nectar account so he can start earning points from his gas bills.
When I went online to do this for him, I noticed that this required creating an online British Gas account for him which isn't a problem.
However, in doing so, you automatically sign up for paperless billing.
My father rarely/never uses the internet so this won't be practical for him.
I couldn't see any way of keeping his bills as they are, the help function on the site does not provide any information on how to opt out of this and a trawl of the web just brings up (old) horror stories.
Anyone here have a British Gas online account AND still receive bills via the post?
If so, how did you do this - by calling BG?
