I am with orange after leaving talk talk.

They seem very good and don't forget to use a cashback site
#2
i was with sky but changed to talk talk.

i don't rate sky much to be honest and i get more for my money from talk talk.
#3
We're thinking about leaving Sky, prob depend where you live but it's stupidly slow round here sometimes. somehow though when we complain they make it faster again for a bit
#4
I'm with Sky never had any problems after changing from Orange (who promise a 2nd line, but never worked).
#5
just read some reviews online and it does not look good, will prob go with o2 :)
#6
I,ve had SKY for about 4 years and never had a problem

Hi jeffry, i too am with talk talk and im also so fed up with them. My (wireless) internet connection is constantly going off!! Ive been with them for around 4/5 years and have noticed it does this every now & again for around a week and then its fine again...i dont feel right about complaining to them as its free! last night it was the worst it has been but so far today its been ok. I have a friend with BT and she rates them very highly. Last night i was thinking of cancelling talktalk ang getting a dongle added to my orange package for £5 a month i think it was (dont quote me on that as im not 100%).

o2 use the same as be there and i have them in London...we have had no problems in 12months with them, we pay £6.75 a month for upto 8mb unlimited broadband, and we consistently get 11mb! :-D
Also in all the time we have had it I've never had to restart the router either!
#9
Pay cheap, get cheap.;-)
[mod]#10
o2 - cheap and excellent service
#11
one question im with talk talk and i get landline as well, when i go check broadband availability it say you are not bt compatable landline ! so can i keep talk talk as a landline and change to 02 broadband ? will i have to pay bt to reconect my line or is it not possible?
#12
O2 or Bethere I would say, both for now anyway are truely unlimited and dont cap you at peak times etc...

It may well be, but only if your exchange is an o2 LLU enabled one and they have spare capacity.

The o2 Access ( non LLU ) set up is dire.

By "badddd" what do you mean? Slow, drop outs, other problems? If it's a problem with the cabling from exchange to your premises moving provider won't change nothing, besides who you pay.
#15
go to samknows type in you post code and look for the ISP with LLU in your area and then decide who to go with. i am with Sky and my router sync speed is 15.3 meg and never really had a problem with them.

Have you tried a newer router, 4/5 yrs old? maybe on its last legs and not a provider fault.

With 02 no probs here, there's a mixed bunch of 16 wireless lans near me, 2 02, 3 Sky, 1 AOL, 1 TT, 2 BT, 2 Public and the rest changed their names.

Find your master socket (like the one above) remove the face plate (2 screws) plug your router into the test socket that appears. Any improvement?
You do have all your telephone sockets that are in use filtered don't you? If you have a sky box, fax, modem, etc plugged into the phone line it needs to be filtered. Unless you have a ssfp faceplate

Usually you will have a one that looks like the picture, extensions/slaves/lju's are usually smaller in size. (they can be the same size but will not have the removable faceplate) it is possible however that you don't have a NTE5 master socket. Are you fed via a pole on the street? If so follow the cable into your house the 1st socket (the one that the external cable terminates in is normally the master but it can be BT78 or equivalent which is just a joint linking internal to external cable).

basicly i need to plug my rotar to this socked and see if it be better ? whats a short wire, i have one wire in my rotar ? will this be okey ?
#39
the short wire is the wire that came with the router about 1 meter long and looks like a telephone wire (the one that goes from the socket to the phone)
#40
do i plug in while its socket open or not ?
