Looking at broadband for flat at uni this year, started with virgin - their fibre broadband, and 9month contract looked great, but we are not in a fibre optic area grr.

Are there any good alternatives? we prefer not to have small download usage.

thanks in advance!

bt and virgin are the only two providers that have a backbone infrastructure, they rent out there hardware/software to other providers. virgin is top and bt second, therefore go with bt and any problems that ok bt sort out, if you go with another isp then its a game of back and fourth been your provider and who the provider is using to provide the service.
