Does anyone know if these can be fixed? Someone on my freecycles groups daughter has broken theirs - dropped it down the stairs and hinges broke - she is hoping to get one on freecycle but not sure if she will be lucky enough so said I would ask around and see if they can be repaired.....

Cheers for any adviceinfo.....

Yes, I agree. Dealextreme sell houses/fascias, screens, touchscreens, etc....
Once you've bought them then there are plenty of guides on the net. Just check google.
Hope that helped

DS is a complete pain to get apart and change screens, although saying that , the DS is fine, it's the Lite I would NEVER try and take apart ever again, and I am pretty good with electronics :)
Dealextreme do some replacement housings for the Phat DS, although you should read the reviews about them first, several of them DON'T have the hinges, but some of them do, so make sure you egt the right type and also a Tri-wing screw driver, nothing worse than getting the stuff there ready to get to work and finding you have to wait another 2 weeks for a screw driver :)
Hope that helps a little,

I have just sent them an E-Mail to see how much they will charge me to get a couple of screen's replaced on my old DS Lite, it has been sitting in a box under my bed for about 3 months waiting to get repaired after the last one I pulled apart became scrap, maybe I'll let the pro's handle this one :)

Mike - did you get a price back?

Just swapped a bnib ds lite for a broken one and £45 cos a guy I knows granddaughter dropped hers and now it doesnt work - its only a few months old - would it be covered under warranty? When I plug the charger in the light flashes on then off but have moved connector and light doesnt stay on. Anyone have a scoobie what might be wrong?
