A poll conducted by YouGov found that Scousers, Brummies and Mancunians have the ugliest accents in the British Isles.

Using the word "worst" is rather unfortunate. Brummies and Scousers have strong accents, but who is to say that one accent is worse or better than another. It would be a sad world if all British people spoke uniformly - how boring!

Brummie is fine... it's Black Country that's worse!

I must say I do love a woman with a nice scouse accent.

I personally find these accents sexy on a man.

I'm from Liverpool & the viariation in the accent just within the city is as wide as scottish vs the queens proper spoken English.

This "poll" is obviously taken the strongest accent (i.e John Bishop stylee) & not the "normal" spoken dialect from the area.

Either way, the poll is a load of ****.

I agree. North Liverpool tends to have a stronger accent compared to south Liverpool

Agree 100%.
The fact they've put 'worst' immediately tells any intelligent person that the poll was conducted by non-intelligent people.
Therefor - as the poster at #6 puts it; 'the poll is a load of ****'.

As you can see from my above comments I agree with your conclusion.

However, re' the 'Scottish' part; it may (or may not) be of interest to you to know that for years Inverness has been acknowledged as the best spoken English on the planet (according to linguistic experts and dialect experts around the world).

Look how many tv dramas are set in Manchester because we sound nice and are easy to understand.
I think Crossroads was the last tv programme ive seen set in birmingham which says it all.
