Were currently with Virgin for our BB and tv. we only get 2meg BB and the L tv package for £22 a month!

Weve decided to get rid of virgin and get a freesat box and was thinking about getting BT BB as we have a bt phone...

What are BT like?

I am also with BT Broadband and have been for the last 4 yrs. I have the top package which includes the anywhere go phone. I am very pleased, and in 4 yrs I have only had 2 outages.
The only thing is the Freeview for HD they recommend you dowload the films when you don't need to use the service. One film can take several hours.

Another thumbs up for BT. I've had 2 small issues with them, both times they rang me back on my mobile & fixed the issue within 5 minutes.

Can't comment on the vision box thingy, though, as we can't get freeview until Nov 09 at the earliest.

BT get the thumbs up from me too. On the unlimited BB package and have it at a very good rate (retention rate of £15-something).

It's probably also a good idea to check whether you have ADSL2+ (upto 24 Mbps) activated in your area yet, or if not, when it will be ready. Check here:

My exchange is being upgraded in March and I had a note put on my BT account when I upgraded to the effect that the new speeds would be applied without me having to pay extra. I'm pretty sure this will happen automatically, but you can't be too safe

+1. BT Cust Services are anything but. Was with them for about 6yrs and am now with Sky for everything. Best move I made, and saved a fortune each month.

like all providers it will depend on how many other people in the area use them degrading your bandwidth, would be an idea to ask virgin bout getting a phone thrown in if its just money saving you are after
