Does anyone else have this problem I wonder:x ?

Since connecting with BT's Total Broadband and installing their home hub and their version of Norton Anti-Virus we have been plagued with freezing desktop, browser pages that close themselves and all sorts of other pants things going on with the computer. They say it's our fault:? but we had their normal broadband and the bought Norton package installed previous and there wasn't a problem at all.

Does anyone have the same issues or any idea what could be wrong before I take it to a pc repair place and get conned.

Thanks so much for reading:thumbsup:

I would say it's because of Norton it's the worse anti virus software :). Try a different anti virus and see how it goes.

Bt homehubs are rubbish.
We changed ours for a Belkin and we now have a faster internet

Unlock/reflash the homehub with the speedtouch 7G firmware. Dont know if i can link to another forum but just google homehub unlock and the info and software is there. Its really easy and the hub then becomes a whole new tamed creature!
Just make sure you connect the ethernet cable to port 1 on the hub not like i did port two as it doesnt work as i found out after an hour of swearing at my pc! DOH!
AND DITCH THE NORTON!!!!!

Thanks for those ideas - We never had any problems at all with Norton when we were paying for it, it's just this free version doesn't seem to work very well, I always get problems when I run a registry scan.

Also the BT software clashes with IE7 so we had to remove it and re-install 6 again they said this was our fault because IE7 was only supposed to run on Vista and not on XP.....I can't see this being true or windows update wouldn't keep trying to download it...Or am I just mis-understanding?

Harltzer - Is this software free?

My house is running IE7 on XP with BT HomeHub on 1 PC & 2 laptops with no problem. (I'm not rich - I have kids!)
