You cant go wrong with BT Vision, its a different way of watching tv.

Vision TV is general tv like drama comedy documentry 1000 hours on demand
Vision replay Catch up on channels 1-5 basically iplayer net player etc built in to vision.

Sports in regards to football youll get every premiership game apart from the one which is live on sky.
They will be available to watch from 10 on sat night and you can choose 45 min highlights or 90 min full games, available until wednesday.
Films 28 films on demand, good films but not great compared to sky.

Free ESPN

£7.50 X 3months = £22.50
£14.99 X 9months = £134.91

£157 for 12 months

Box is currently £15 online should be free from Saturday.

If you need the latest tv series then go for sky, if youre not fussed and just want to watch good tv on demand then go for vision.

£15 quid for all that including ESPN is a great price

Thanks for the info, i think we are looking at the phone, tv and Internet. Coming out about £30 a month which is better than the £50 sky were asking!

Might i ask, how old is the on demand stuff?

BT vision is truly amazing, it has a huge catalogue of films and tv to watch. You need BT broadband to have it but it's much cheaper than sky.

Free espn (you pay £10 for the card though)

Sky is much more modern stuff, while BT is older stuff. I watched the whole of southpark series 1, 2 nd 3 yesterday. Miss a program? Nae bother, catch it later (BT stores the latest programs for a set time (a week i think). You don't need to remember to record it ... :-D

We used to have sky, now we won't go back.

How are you getting to £30?

Phone line £11.54
Broadband £15.99
Vision Bronze £14.99

Content isnt new at all, for instance Lost series 5 was added last week. Although lost series 1-5 is on there on demand which is cool.

BT cant get the new stuff on demand as companies wont let the shows be on demand as it ruins dvd sales.

24, prison break, CSI NY/Miami have all just started from series 1.

If you want the lastest shows its not for you.but its got good stuff on there and its quite cheap.

Box has 160gb hard drive so you can record the live freeview channels, after contract has finished the box is yours so you can still use it as a freeview+ box.

I've both, I would go for sky. BT Vision VOD is very good but you only get digital terrestrial channels. As a package I beleive you'll get more for your buck from sky.
From what I remember the VOD libary doesn't get updated to often, you have to pay a sub to get access to BBC replays (i know you don't get iplayer on sky but it's free on VM it was originally free on BTV) also you seem to get random episodes on the VOD I attempted to watch something when I did pay for the pack and it had episodes missing.
As a freeview PVR it's good but sky+ is far better.
