This is how a lot of the big clubs in Europe operate. If it works for them......;-)

Is there any financial benefit?

Seems highly unlikely.

Ebbsfleet all over again

I just read through it, if they don't take over the club, you can get you money back less bank charges. Also there is an annual £10 charge. One for the die hard fans I think.

I'm waiting to get Newcastle for a tenner :(

hmmm, i used to live near Stirling and my next door neighbour at the time was actually the brother of Stirling's Chairman.

he must be getting on a bit now, he was an old feller even back then so i guess they're hoping to get him to sell up. Good little club with a decent stadium, but that's about it.

He's been looking to sell up for a while. As you say, he's really getting on now and his time in football has been and gone.

It's difficult sometimes to tell from a comment whether the person will be voting hot or cold. I'll take a stab in the dark and say I think you'll be voting this piping hot...right? ;-)

I moved up to Stirling not so long back, no wonder they are doing bad when all the locals walk round with Celtic and Rangers tops on - its sad.

Heat added for deal, really thinking about it.
#25
Do they still charge £20 a game these days? Me and a few mates went at the start of last season but being students just couldn't afford it week after week. Wasn't just the prices that put us off mind - they are absolutely hopeless!
#26
Good luck to the Albion

Wow! Do they need the money, or is this just a group of supporters wanting to buy the club?

I was born in Stirling and still go there a lot, I'm very tempted with this if the money is going into the club rather than the current owner's pocket...

16. No member may hold more than one share in the Society either individually or jointly.

17. The shares of the Society have the nominal value of £1 each and may not be transferred or withdrawn.

18. If a member ceases to be a member, the share registered in the name of that member is to be cancelled and the amount subscribed for the share is to become the property of the Society.

Am I missing something here, or is this not just paying to be a member of a glorified fan club?

haha, anything to improve the team! I love the bit where it says members will get priority over the general public. I'm conjuring up pictures of huge lines of people waiting for a trial!

Thanks for taking an interest in my team.

We are on the brink of closing down if we dont manage to raise enough money.

The begging bowl is out and we are pleading for people to please sign up or make a donation.

Imagine life without your own team to follow on a Saturday.

Every membership and penny counts if we are to be here next season.

Good luck to you mate, long time for your first post but I hope it
s not in vain. seriously considering punting a few quid into your club, but i a little reticent due to post 35 and the fact ie had a bit to drink. in fact, i olnly came on the internet to resolve a dispute regarding the origins of the name of the rock band 10cc. probly waffling here.
