probably you'll have to refund through paypal and claim back through royalmail. it is a pain when that happens, think you have to wait upto 10 days.

Hi there you will have to claim for the missing item through the royal mail ,get a claim form from the post office. You will have to refund the buyers money( after 14 days from posting).I do a lot on Ebay and find the few pence extra for recorded delivery is well worth it.

I pretty much send most items I sell on Ebay via recorded delivery (apart from anything under £10) just for piece of mind.

Have had a few items go missing before.

You will have to refund the buyer and put in a claim via Royal Mail.

I always claim full value of item (RRP) and postage paid as well.

Yeah, you have to wait 15 WORKING days, so technically 3 weeks, the post office are sly like that.
Also, on the form that you have to fill in, make sure you print off details of how much the item was and that, otherwise they will send you a book of 6 first class stamps like they done to me when MarzBarz HDD Caddy went missing, not happy about that for sure!

Email the buyer and tell them that you're putting a claim in through the PO and they've told you that due to the number of missing items being reported they'll contact him as part of the investigation. It's amazing how many buyer then say the item turns up next day !!

you will only get 100 x cost of 1st class stamp eg £39 from royal mail
