Buying a new car, I cant decide what to get.........

(well new to me but it will be used..)

I cant decide what to go for...... so far spent a few weeks trying to decide....

The shortlist so far....

2006 onwards - Audi A4 2.0TDI S line Avant, (has to have Sat Nav, Colour DIS and Leather.)

BMW 320d Touring, -177 Seems nice but not 100% sure.

BMW 525D or 530D M Sport - Saloon.. (still not sure if i want to spend that bit more and get an older car.........)

V50 2.0D Sport.

Or a VW Passat 2.0TDI 170..

Does anyone own any of the above and can give some feedback......??

BMW Touring. Believe me, it's the bf's next car and I've spent the last two weeks being told every pro of them inside and out (apparently there are no cons... because he wants one)! I like cars but it's verging on the tedious now! Haha! I'll give you a round up of them:
Pros
Looks good
Reliable
Engine lasts a longggg time
Lots of space for... dogs and things?!
Diesel ones are very economical
Insurance group isn't too ridiculous
Then I switched off

He's a copper so has driven practically every car there is, both in work and when he nicks drink drivers etc and takes their car away and this is the one he wants so it can't be that bad!

Lololol! Reliable? Don't you believe it! German reliablity is the thing of the past! The last 530 I had was in the garage every half a year with something wrong with it! When they say "I'm going to have to plug it up to the computer" prepare to remortgage!! Still loved it though!

Had my 525D E61 Touring for 3 and a half years and hasn't missed a beat. I had the software updated before the warranty ran out but no problems otherwise. Best car I've had so far. Servicing charges are a joke and worth shopping around for if you decide to use BMW stealers!

I've had 2 Audis (A4 and A8) and they were both very good. Feels solid to drive and own. The onl. Issue I got was with the power steering units in both cars. So watch out for that. If it's a solid comfortable car you want, get a Audi.

BMWs are really nice cars to drive and are lots of fun. Issue is probably more breakdows with bmws and costly repairs. If it's style and drivig pleasure- get a BMW.

VW is pretty much a Audi A6. They are know to be very depandable. Good cars and may hold the value longer and it's a VW and may cost leas in repairs.

It's all on the needs. If you do a lot of long drives and stuff get a comfortable touring/ avant. If it's sporty B roads you use more often get BMW ( not in snowy days)

Hope it helps

I just picked up a brand new Kia Rio 1.5dci Strike Special Ed and it kicks ass.

2010 facelift model, 7 yr warranty, alloys, air con, mp3 cd etc all for under 10k.
