Not sure if I am posting this in the right section but can a mod move it please if it is in the wrong place?

I am interested in buying a used omega but would like people's advice as to checking it's heritage, if anyone can help if possible?

Insist on having papers with the watch, then call Omega with the serial number for it's history.

I bought a used but flawless Omega Seamaster Professional Chronograph last year and I love it to bits. The downside is that it cost £300 for a service and a new link! Ouch!

Here's the beauty.......

That's an amazing watch CJ. I hated paying £140 for my Tag Heuer to be serviced but £300 would bring tears to my eyes.

I thought Mark was talking about a Vauxhall in the first place ;)

Where are you buying the Omega from Mark? How much are you spending?

Thanks Greg.

It never occurred to me that Mark could have been on about a Vauxhall Omega! Hehe. I suppose it would be strange to use the word "heritage" when referring to a crappy car, hehe.

It ought to be in very good condition for that king of money for that model.

Insist on papers, plenty of (current, i.e. dated) photographs if you haven't seen it in the flesh.

Also, ensure that it's the full size face and not one of the girly smaller sizes.

Hope this helps?

Not if it's in very good nick, it's about on the money.

If you're in any doubt, forget it, and bide your time for another.

James Bond used to wear a Rolex Submariner until Pierce Brosnan in Golden Eye when he switched to an Omega Seamaster.
