Hi
The warranty is global, just make sure you keep your receipt. Apple do check out that you have not claimed the tax back, if you do, that may affect the warranty. That the information I was given by the Apple sote in New York last Xmas.
The cost you see on the Apple website does not include sales tax (I think its currently 6.5%).

Wee note that sales tax varies from state to state - so could be lower or higher than 6.5%.

I would think an extra $33 dollars tax on top.

So $533 ? :)

That's nearly £100 cheaper, I think I'm best waiting and buying from there?

Cheers everyone

Won't you get caught out at customs bringing it back?

I suppose you could always post the box back to yourself and carry it in your hand luggage.

He could always dump the packaging and claim he brought it with him - it's taking a chance mind.

Is there a chance of customs?

I might just not bother and pay our prices ?

the chance of having to pay customs is soooo unlikely. Just dump the box, if anyone asks you brought it with you. its like when u take a laptop abroad with you they don't charge you to bring it back into the country.
I've brought at least 3 laptops from different countries when i've been over there and not once have I been asked where I had got them from.

I've brought a laptop back, psp and my friends have brought DSs, mobiles etc. They just assumed that I took it with me.

Your personal allowance is £390 anyway. As long as you don't bring back goods over this amount you don't have to pay VAT.

So, would you wait til April ? For the saving
