Going to the U.S soon and was keeping my eye on the dollar currently about $1.51 to £1 (@ Cec Ltd)

Checked eBay looking for a possible bargain and the fact that I have a nice amount built up which I plan to withdraw anyway

The GRIPE
Auctions
$57 at £40 posted
$48 at £37.50

Buy now
$1300 for £975

I'm no mathemation but that's a shocking rate considering to sell dollars the going rates about $1.43 per 1gpb?

Anyone explain this because I'm real confused!

ebay is plagued with idiots. That's why you'll see someone paying £975 for $1300 dollars or £45 for a £40 gift voucher!

Going for the best rate doesn't always pay dividends, just look at what happened with crown currency exchange...

Thanks Linux **thumbs up**

Read into Crown currency exchange aka CCE
Wow lot of hard working innocent people lost lots of money...

I'll be sticking to the high street exchance (CEC LTD) i'll be handing over my cash in return for tangible dollars that I can feel, see, smell, kiss and caress if the moment takes me.

MSE really rated crown currency..........

I know, I lost £800. You are better going on the High Street for the sake of a couple quid

I used Crown Currency twice, was really impressed with the system, and just lucky that i didn't have a holiday booked when they went bust otherwise i'd have lost out too.

Think i'll go back to the high street next time

FairFx are slowly approaching 1.60.... i have faith but aren't they just as likely to "do a CCE"
