Hi

I'm trying to upgrade my hardrive but I'm a complete novice. Can anyone please reccommend me any good deals for a RELIABLE hardrive which has about 250-500Gb space.

Price isn't an issue, I just want something reliable as I would be lost if it failed on me.

Many Thanks

Well even if you are a complete novice we do need to know if it is for a desktop or a laptop.

The physical size of hard drives in a laptop are totally different to the hard drives in a desktop.

Also, if you are going to replace the existing hard drive with the new one what plans do you have for putting Windows on it, and all your programs and personal fles?

If you take the old one out and put the new one in it will be totally empty, so how are you going to get Windows on it?

Which is why we say to people MAKE BACKUPS OF YOUR IMPORTANT DATA, even if it just putting a copy on an external hard drive.

I'm upgrading both...I need one for a PC and another for a laptop. I know they will be empty...I plan to install new versions of Windows Vista. I have all my files on an external hardrive already.

I just need to be recommended a reliable hardrive :whistling:
