Buying something :)

I'm buying some blu-rays off a member on here ( on another forum though)
In the £400 zone..
Anyway apart from paypal normal I can pay and be covered in case anything goes wrong?
E.g. can I set up an online banking account with my new credit card and transfer through that? And then take money out of my normal account to pay it off?

that sounds like a good idea... should be covered with the protection of the credit card!

I understand your reservations with paypal, they don't seem to offer that much protection but as a buyer, they do offer the most protection, you can claim for almost every eventuality as a buyer, even if you send as a gift!

You could also register your credit card on paypal and have the protection via paypal and your credit card!?

Yes sort of paypal is full of sh**, just make sure when paying via paypal you have the right description for the items exactly what they are and put down they are in working order etc. should be ok.

Yes you can, that will be fine

And would I then be covered via the card?

Not sure a credit card would cover private purchases. If you're not sure walk way. It's a lot of dough to lose....

I've added the mastercard to the paypal account, if I send through pp gift, will I be covered through mastercard?
Oh wait, there's fee's!
If I send through bank transfer.. I've got both my normal card and my credit card linked to it, can I choose which one?
The guy has very good feedback :)

Exchange employment details, that's the best way for security. Call their employer and verify them. Unless they've got a rubbish job they're not going risk losing it.
