Cadburys Wispa Bar to relaunch!

Cadbury is bringing back the Wispa bar in response to demand from internet campaigners.

The confectionery giant will re-launch the Eighties favourite in October for a limited period.

It comes four years after the Wispa was dropped because of declining sales.

The Birmingham-based chocolate firm said the comeback was a response to online petitions and campaigns on social networking sites such as Facebook and Bebo.

Thousands of fans have campaigned across scores of websites to get the Wispa back on shop shelves.

Cadbury will produce around 23 million Wispa bars packaged in the original blue wrappers for the relaunch.

The comeback could be made permanent if sales figures live up to the online hype.

Preferred Aero's but only the original flat Aero's where you can break the bits off not when they did a Wispa shaped one.
#8
Mint Wispas were fantastic

Good news - although I'm going to be cynical and say "online petitions and campaigns on social networking sites such as Facebook and Bebo" actually amounted to three people saying "I used to like Wispas" and Cadbury's latching onto the zeitgest of Facebook/Bebo...

No BristolDeal, LOTS of people have been talking about Wispas.

We've had our own discussions on here in the past (twice within the space of a couple of months) of "Where did all the Wispas go?" hehe.

LONG LIVE WISPA!! :-D
#11
If it is Cadbury's, expect it to be half the size for triple the price.

Isn't Wispa a rebranded dairy milk bubbly?

Im sure I learnt that they discontinued the Wispa and rebranded it as Dairy Milk Bubbly just to include the 'Dairy Milk' brand in order to increase sales?

Spira were awesome. You use them as a straw to suck up tea. Then eat it.
Melted chocolatey goodness!

I was talking about Wispas just the other day! Also I was wondering what happened to BN biscuits.

...and Rolo cookies.

...and Astros.

Thanks:thumbsup:

I am no expert on the Nestle argument, but from what I have heard in the past, Nestle rigourously advertise their baby milk products in the 3rd world, and entice the young mothers with free samples of the milk. Then, when the mothers natural breast milk has dried up, they have no choice but to buy more powdered baby milk (that they can ill afford).

Coca Cola are no better. They have factories in the middle of draught ridden countries and nick all they're water to make coke.

Back to the subject, I used to love the secret bar the most.

About them not doing fair trade etc.

Actually no more about them cornering the formula milk market in 3rd world countries convincing uneducated mothers that formula milk is better than breast milk giving 'free' formula for just long enough for the mothers milk to dry up and then charging for it leaving familys struggling to feed themselves and their children. The infant Death rate is astranomical due to poor water supplies (which you make formula milk with obviously) and the parents have no choice but to water the milk down due to not being able to afford as much as they need. :x

Edit:Sorry Foxy I hadn't realised you had answered
[mod]#36
At the risk of being flamed...........why are these people even having children when they can't afford to feed themselves???

Exactly, but they have been educated on the fact that richer countries like us should be bailing them out. Shows where there goverments priorites lay beings our money rarely even reaches them and just keeps the beaurocrats ticking over. Which is why i don't donate any money at all to 3rd world charities. :-(

i also agree with this the world has alot of problems and I can't do everything but morally I feel better for boycotting Nestle
