you do the difference divided by original weight
so 6/84 x 100 = 7.14% decrease in weight

its about 10.5% which gave me 83.98. dont know how i worked it out
#4
Exactly except the difference is 84 - 76 = 8 so actually a 10.5% increase in weight
#5
10.524%
#6
so how did you work it out?
#7
increase is 8 so 8/76 x 100 = 10.526 etc % increase

Oh oh sorry was rushing off

8/84 x 100 = 9.5% :)

You divide by 84 because 84 is the original number and you want to find the percentage decrease of that number, not the final figure

Sorry but your numbers are wrong also.

The answer is not calculated using the difference. It's the percentage increase above 76 were 76 is 100%.

It is 84 / 76 * 100 = 110.526% so the difference is 10.526%

10.526% is the answer

Mrs.z should give up as both answers were wrong!

Anyway,

Assign A = 84, B =76

percentage change = ((A / b) -1) * 100
