Just came across this, although a hypothesis, but logically is not far off from the reality. Current price drops and clearance on legacy version also makes me believe something is happening which public do not know. Thoughts?

An industry insider revealed that Activision is pleased with the fact that Infinite Warfare turned into a massive success on the sales front. At this rate, it won’t be long until Activision hit their sales target for Infinite Warfare thus allowing them to proceed into selling Modern Warfare Remastered as a standalone title.

Well at up until now they have been insisting that buying the legacy version is the only way of getting the other one.

Activision's stance is that it will never go stand alone. They want the extra money. I have always bought cod games and generally enjoyed them. However infinite warefare is just terrible in my opinion. I got the legacy edition and I love modern warefare remastered. Such a good remaster

Yep this was always in the "master plan".

Shouldn't be allowed to lie to the public. (_;)

It's cool to be the player, but sucks to be the fan, all you need is bucks to be the man.

Honestly, if it was any game other than Modern Warfare Remastered I'd be advising gamers to make a stance and just totally avoid this **** move by Activision and hit them where it hurts.

They took a "**** you all gamble" when they hid MW:R behind an Infinite Warfare paywall to try and save their continually failing Call of Duty product. Year in and year out they just ruin a once beautiful franchise in an attempt to keep up with the latest highlights of other games (yes, Titanfall, I'm looking at you).

I mean Christ, how long have the gamers been asking Activision (pleading in fact) to go back to originality, give us a sequel to World at War, they didn't listen, but Electronic Arts did and now we have the brilliant and successful Battlefield 1.

But, it's Modern Warfare, knock yourselves out kids, and enjoy :D

I do hate the bullpoop that is activision but I want MW2 remastered more than any other (I just liked that one best for personal reasons despite the possibility that MW1 was better)

What's great is EA announced (or Dice), there won't be another Battlefield next year. So, looks like they are focussing on making a better Battlefield in 2 years. Shows they don't just rush out with **** every year.
