give them a lil wiggle nd a flex every 15 mins lol

Frequent breaks to stretch your legs is probably likely to be the only answer...

or buy your own bike!!

I wouldn't go out for an hour on my bike in this weather - it's freezing !!

3 hours in the summer maybe - but not the Winter lol - your mad.

What type of bike has he got ?

i find those sports heat packs quite comfy tucked into my back. at least they stop me freezing to death.
frequent breaks are the only solution really.
#15
Be sure to give your legs a good stretch everytime you can. When stopped atr traffic lights etc.
#16
Breaks every hour or so should do you and as said above, have a little stretch when stopped in traffic

and it goes without saying - enjoy :-D
#17
A lot depends on the bike you'll be on and how you'll be holding on.

You can buy gel seat pads that might help.
#18
My knees kill after about 2/3 hours riding - sports tourer so foot pegs highish - pads in leathers seem to dig in. Other than taking breaks don't really know sorry.
#19
drink lots so you have to stop , you`ll find that the spray of urine off the back will soon force him to pull over , its that or be a woman , nag the hell out of him to stop now and again

daft question but you should have almost no weight on your knees when sat down so not really understanding why its happening , tell him to get a goldwing , cant go wrong , very comfortable
#20
yes on a tourer you would probably have no pressure on your knees, but I find on a sports tourer and soon to be sports bike (pillion) the angle is different, your foot peg is higher and instead of being in a sitting position you're in a semi crouched one. The leathers covering the knees are stretched and over a long journey the knee pad digs in.

Probably rubbish but sounds good in theory!! lol

I am quite tall and its the position my knees will be in on a sit position for length of time !can do one hour and a bit no probs but anything after 2 hrs and it becomes uncomfortable ! I also suffer from athritis its not bad but can be painful some days !
#24
As others have mentioned make sure you stop after about 2 hours and stretch every opportunity you get, I ride all year round and yes it does get cold but the biggest problem with me is my feet lol since I wear my shoes and jeans after 3 hours of riding I have to stop to warm up then have a cup of chocolate (thermoflasks rock) but thankfully I wont have to wait much longer just ordered some new leather trousers that should be my legs sorted and got some thermal socks for a fiver off ebay so I'm gonna head off to the cat and fiddle for some fun tommorow :)
#25
sounds like you need some sort of backrest to enable you to lean back and redistribute the weight toward your bum , maybe a topbox with a pad , your description sounds about correct for a zzr , ive got a suzuki katana with gsxr engine in it , great big rubber pegs low down so the person on the back is comfortable and normally very very scared

Well as he's got a 170mph+ bike just tell him to put his foot down!

3 hours at 75mph only an 1 1/2 hours at 150mph problem sorted!

ps keep your foot over the nomber plate when you go past them pesky cameras.

On a serious note tell him you want a break when you need one as the last thing you need is a tired passanger.

Don't know how he can ride for 3 hours none stop I can only just manage that in the car. An hour at a time is enough on a bike its just so tiring both physically and mentally.

I have heard that they help. They usually strap under the seat. Never used one myself. Though I did use seat foam on my race bike to pad the seat out a little (could be a cheaper option as a one off)

he is a taxidriver for a living so doesnt seem to get tired of riding a bike rather than his boring taxi and instead of somebody telling him where he is going he can decide where he is going when on the bike !!!lol we will need to stop for fuel but by that time my knees have given up !!!! he has travelled all over europe and wants me to start .... furthest i have been is belgium and the blooming bike went on fire and all our clothes burned to a frazzle!!!
