Did your period pains get worse after having babies?

I was fine after my first but since my second i have stomach and back pains for days on end (not even at that time of the month, just that area)

Its not where my c-section scar is so I dont think its that....... hmm just confused!

Just wondering if any of the mummies on here have had similar problems. Coping so far with my strong pain killers that i have left after my c-section lol but after then its not going to be fun... :-( xxx

Go speak to your doctor hun just to make sure there is no infection or anything, I don't think you should be having pains like that. I was for a few days after my 2nd but it turns out I had 2 nasty infections so I think it is best to get checked out :) xx

I'd go see your GP - remember that the scar on the outside of your tummy won't line up with the internal scar any more now that it's not being stretched to the size of a watermelon...

I had painful periods before children and after I had my 1st and periods returned, they were more or less painless. After my 2nd,they bit uncomfy some mths, but don't need to take anything for it most time. I def had more painful periods before children anyway.
I occasionly use the heat pads you can buy,as sometimes on 1st or 2nd day I occasionly get uncomfortable.

As you had a baby not long ago,I would suggest you visiting your GP,they might send you into the nurse for some swabs to be taken. If you still find yourself uncomfortable and there no explanation for it,ask to be seen by gynaecologist or something.

I can actually feel when my eggs released.... the pain i have around 14th day on my one side and back is apparently that. Never used to have this prior giving birth.

Thanks so much everyone :) ill leave as much rep as i can lol

Think i will go to the doc, its really quite bad today. Taken some strong painkillers but i can still feel it. Still got around 2 weeks until TOM so dont understand why its happening :-(
Got my hot water bottle so just going to veg until the painkiller kicks in (hopefully!!)

A bit worried that i will get what my mum has, where the lining of her womb sheds every month and she said the pain got worse after each child (she had 7 lol) she had days every month where she couldnt move before she had a hysterectomy.

Fingers crossed its just my scar healing xxx

thats what I use,but if your going to the dr's you best ask if it's ok to use now after a c-section,they not applied to the actual skin but your pants. I'm not really keen on taking tablets for anything,so keep these in.

I read before about women who episiotomies that their scar on their perineums are sore during periods,so it could be the same thing maybe with the internal c-section scar, and as someone mentioned,it won't be lined up with the scar on the outside of your body due to the womb going back to the size of about a pear or so.

Because i had horrendous periods b4 having DS 18months ago as soon as the doctor would gimme the pill i went on it. And because im overweight he'donly prescribe the mini pill Cerazette which you take contiually so i havent had a period since having DS.
Having a baby enuff to deal with, without having to have that beach aunt flo around 1 a month too
#15
Does the pain move to the other side the next month?

Apparently you ovulate from one side one month and the other the following month

My periods are much better now I've had my 2... However, both my sisters are suffering problems with theirs now they have had 2 kids each as well!

Yeh defo, this pain has been so bad all day

I would go on the pill but I have bad reactions to the hormones so i cant, only viable options to me are the coil (hormone free one) or condoms... they need a man pill

How many sections have you had? Just curious as I was refused the coil due to previous sections :-(

2 hun, hoping to have one more in the future :)

ive never actually asked for the coil just read in to it (not for me though, im a wuss )

so that just leaves condoms then until OH has the snip after number 3 :whistling:

LOL, I won't wanted it as I am terrible with the pill, but they said no as scar tissue can cause issues, I have had 3 sections. Hubby won't get the snip, he want's 4

lol do you get a say in that? are we allowed to have 4 sections btw? xx

Initial first 6 months horiffic monthlys! and i mean horrific however once passed that brilliant!
Yes montlys are heavier with a coil BUT for peace of mind and protection it was brilliant
