I activated mines this morning... And used it fine - works a treat :-). Had 4 bars on Orange after having no signal using Tmobile!

got the email as well. signing up is slow but you will get there...also if you want to keep your data connection too then set your phone to data roaming....dont forget to turn it off if you leave the uk..

This is weird, I did 3 tests before activating network sharing and 3 after:

(In poor signal area 2 bars or 5)

Before:
Ping avg - 250ms
D/L speed avg - 170KB/sec
U/L speed avg - 470KB/sec

After:
Ping: 100ms
D/L avg - 550KB/sec
U/L avg - 500KB/sec

Very odd, as i thought this was a 2g thing at the moment...

I thought it was just the 2g thing too??? Not sure about that one...
