I own a Numark Battle Pack Direct Drive DJ System that is in mint condition, which I haven't used in ages that is boxed in mint condition. As I require a camcorder, I want to offer the system for sale or trade for a camcorder. Before I do, as I've never owned a camcorder, what should I look for in one? I'm I right in thinking that I should get a SD or HDD one for convenience? It will mainly be used for family filming but I am also going to be using footage for editing in After Effects so looking for an improvement in video quality as I'm currently using my digital cameras integrated video

Any help much appreciated

Someone mentioned to look for a camera with a certain ccd amount on the other thread but the thread is now gone! Any further advice on camcorders within this thread would be much appreciated...
