Camera help wanted - Fujifilm Finepix F20

Hi,

I went to download some photos from my camera onto the pc. Never had a problem before but last night, when I plugged it in to the usb port, the finepix viewer didn't start up or ask me if I wanted to download and then tell me to disconnect when it has downloaded.

Checked control panel and it is recognising the device. I have the latest drivers as far as I am aware. What can I do? Should I uninstall it and if I do, will I lose the photos on my pc already? I tried putting the software disk back in and it says that it is loaded onto my laptop. Just don't understand why it didn't work last night. It's not even saying that it is searching for drivers!

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

fern

Pd....please keep it simple if you can cos I am not that techie!!

oh dear....not sounding good at all. I'll have a look at the fuji forum and maybe have to get a new card reader too!

I presume you've tried rebooting?
I wouldn't think you would lose your photos if you reinstalled the program..

You could try to reset your PC to a few days ago, using system restore first. If that doesn't solve it then reinstall the finepix viewer.

you could of course start the program from your program list, then load photos direct from the viewer.

Don't panic.. It'll all be OK. one way or another.
