hi all we are going to need to replace our living room carpet soon. i have been looking online just to see roughly how much it will cost us so i can get saving. now i have tried to work it out but it is in square metres and my brain has turned to mush so can you work this out.

If it is 14' you're screwed as standard roll size is about 13'2"

When you go into the store to ask them about the carpets they'll work it all out for you. xx

Do you really need new carpet though hun, if you still have money worries might be worthwhile putting it off for a few months xx

Decent brands of carpet come in different widths.
Just remember you get what what you pay for, and places like CarpetRight with permanent sales are generally dearer. Google the carpet name you choose and you will find that the manafacturer generally calls it something else. I did this to a carpet and found it way cheaper in a small local shop, with free fitting than carpetright could sell, despite their claims of 60% off.

Good idea... I always think oohh best to wait till summer cos all the wet rainy weather plays hell with carpets xxx

If you have dogs you might wanna consider some wooden flooring, get a nice thick rug to go over the top if that suits more xxx
