Are you a student? Would you consider a coach?

If so, try this:

Advanced singles from £22 (or £15 with YP railcard, which costs £24). You need to give dates/times.

thats great !

But back to the info.....if you go to the trainline-this is the page i just found it on.......

http://www.thetrainline.com

there is an option to work out the cheapest fare. It won;t let me do it because i would need to know time of day, weekday or weekend etc to give a fare.

It might also be worth your while to invest in a student railcard-it can pay for itself the first time you use it.

The other way people save money is to split the trip-eg. if the train goes through say Sheffield-see if its cheaper to get a return to Sheffield and a return from Sheffield to Norwich, but stay on the tran-lots of people have saved money by doing that-good luck !

it wud be on a Friday and return on a Sunday, preferably at night at around 6-8 ish
#8
Does the date not matter then? Just any Friday/Sunday combination?
#9
Generic off-peak return with railcard is £57.50 (from thetrainline); works out just over £80 including the railcard. Friday is unfortunately the worst day for getting cheap tickets :-(

No date preference just aslong as it is a friday/Sunday

try splitting the journey between main-line station (e.g in to two or three tickets) - you can apparently save a packet doing this

If you're going Sheffield way with EMT make sure you allow extra time for the tunnel closure between Sheffield & Chesterfield.

I just need the cheapest option to get to norwich from Friday to Sunday
