I bought a Navman S30 from Sainsbury's (down to £49.99 from £100) i opened it up at home and noticed that it has been used, it's got a scratch on the screen, the cables were tangled and thrown in the box and the it was set in German and had addresses stored on it.

Anyway cut a long story short Sainsbury's admitted this was a returned item and should not of been resold. After a few phone calls they have offered to swap it for a Binatone Carrera C350 and give me £20 for my troubles. I am happy to accept this but i have never heard of this sat nav before and there aren't many reviews on the net, i was hoping some of you lovely HUKDer's have a bit of knowledge on it and could tell me if it's any good.

Thanks in advance x

I had one about a year a go, Their ok and generally do a reasonable job, It makes a very irritating noise when you start the Satnav application up.

You can also store your photo's on an SD Card and watch slide shows etc..

Plus I think it's got a a PDF reader so you can read them ebooks as well.

It was pretty reliable and has a good GPS receiver.

It's a good budget device, However I couldn't really compare it to a Navman S30

Sounds ok, it's not going to be used that much. Suppose i will just have to get it and see how i go.

Got to give Sainsbury's customer service some credit, they were very helpful and really nice people which makes a change.
