I'm not sure whether I can post this here, but surely it's no more off topic than pumpkins and caturday?
I've just found out that someone of my age from my hometown, Nathan Hancock, has contracted a rare form of non-hodgkins lymphoma and urgently needs a bone marrow donor to defeat it.
they are requesting as many people as physically possible to join a bone marrow register with the Anthony Nolan Trust http://www.anthonynolan.org.uk,
or the National Blood Service, http://www.blood.co.uk.
I am a frequent poster, so not just spamming up the boards, but perhaps this message might influence just one person to try and help. and that might be all he needs to save his life.
Without a matching bone marrow donor he will die.
His background is west indies/white, but a donor from any background may be a match.
For more information on Nathan, there are links on our local papers website ; http://www.skegnessstandard.co.uk
or his facebook group; http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=35955070753
Thanks for reading and I hope this doesn't get expired.
