we had a chrysler grand voyager,7 seats very roomy inside and great comfort :) but it was a bit thirsty being an automatic with a 3.2 engine

i have a mitsubishi delica now had a toyota estima before that, the problem is the seats because of where the fixed baby seats go it means the older 2 have to climb into the boot to get into the very back seats

We have a Fiat Ulysse with eight seats, they are exactly the same as the Peugeot and Citroen version, so any of them can be eight seat versions, if you are buying new you can ask for the eight seat version or if second hand simply buy the bench seat to use in the back.

We have two fixed car seats that we put in the very back of the car so the older kids are not climbing over, the middle row of seats have a release lever to allow the seat to be folded over allowing access to the back row.

Its been a great car, (even if its off the road at the moment to have a new clutch!) and holds all the stuff we need. I recently took 3 teenagers 1 ten year old and two little uns with two buggies and everyones luggage away for the weekend. So it holds a fair amount. I usually carry at least two prams in the boot and there is space on top of them for shopping etc.

hi kidkat and thank for suggestion
the layout seems to be the same as we have now but i dont really want the baby and 3 year old in the very back i would prefer something which would allow access to rear seats without moving the car seats of the middle seats if possible

Maybe if you had a car with three full seat belts in the middle row then you could put car seats in one side and centre leaving one seat on the other side to access the rear.

Otherwise we used to have a renault espace, the older kids sat in the back but accessed thru the back door/hatch. This only worked because it was only a seven seater though.

Have you looked at a Kia Sedona? Not sure whether they do an eight seater though?

yeah that would be good if we had the full seat belts in the back, which cars come with them though?

i also had an espace which i liked when there was 6 of us,dont think they do an 8 seater

i do like the sedonas very nice but again smaller than what i have now,we go for a few hols a year so we like to have a big boot

http://www.citroen.co.uk/new-cars/citroen-c8/in-more-detail/equipment-specifications/

This gives the specs for seatbelts in th ecitroen one but it looks like they only do a 7 seater version in the c8 unlike the older synergie.
