what do you mean? You just need the usual stuff you take on holiday
you usually get a card, like a credit card that you use for purchases on board and pay at the end so watch out lol

most stuff onboard from what i remember isnt too bad as its duty free when you sail between places! :)

Well, it depends on how long you will be on there for.
Me and my mate took loads of food so that we didn't have to buy the rediculously expensive meals on board.
We overheard the security at customs say "they must be going camping" haha
Food is probably going to be your only expense on a short cruise.
Other things you might spend money on are more entertainment things like at the casino. Optional activities really.

you had to pay for meals? I was fed 6 times a day with free drinks you didnt have to dine formaly you could dine on deck if you wanted. drinks between meals had to be paid for and the copious amounts of cocktails i had ( though they used to do cocktail of the day and that was cheaper)

It was only a weekend trip to Amsterdam (I won it on here, it was a competition with DFDS seaways around February time)
But we had cabins to sleep in and that so I still call it a cruise :p

I went to Norway on a "cruise" as well OMG i was sea sick
Big ships have stabilizers though so it shouldn't happen, though if you go through the bay of Biscay that can be a little on the rough side. I slept that bit lol

I found it so nice to sleep with the rocking of the ship.
...And a few days after I got off it too lol just felt I was swaying in bed.

If it's anything like P&O then, Clothes, Toothpaste, mobile, sunglasses, suncream, headache tablets, travel sickness tablets, money, don't bother taking shower gel, soap & towels, there are more towels on a ship than a towel factory, have a good one!
#31
Royal carribean are great for food - basically there are 'all you can eat' cafe's and they come round with trays of soft drinks and tea/coffee
I'd recommend a UK to US plug converter

Don't forget to check out what plug sockets they use. You might want to get an adaptor.
It's a good idea to take one 2-pin adaptor and one of those plug extensions with lots of 3-pin sockets on (that you would use in the UK) so that you only need to buy one adaptor.

Agree - but we needed hair conditioner as that wasn't supplied nor sold in shops onboard. This may be sad, but I also make use of the Launderette on board so I now take ariel tabs and comfort "bubbles" to keep up with the family's need for clean clothes (going for one week soon and have told them that I'm not washing this time but it is worth it for a fortnight!)

remember the voltage onboard is 110v so unless your electrical equipment is multivoltage you will need a "stepup transformer" rather than a plug adapter.
