don't forget to use PeerBlock when downloading!

You sure you aren't just maxing out your connection? Thus not leaving any overhead for internet browsing etc?
#3

I am not an expert on this as I do not use these peer to peer torrent download type sites.

It could be your ISP throttling your connection due to the amount of bandwidth that the downloads consume, under the peak-time fair-usage clause.

It could be your computer chip is not fast enough to handle 2 high speed downloads at the same time, so causes a timeout in the connection while it struggles to multitask the 2 streams, along with all the other programs that run, possibly including any upstream traffic that peer to peer sites impose, they use your computer to steam to other users, it is in their terms.

Spotify is one other site that does this, and I think Grooveshark as well.

It sounds like a police trace cutting into your line, tracking what you're downloading.

Too many connections will crash some modems, try a firmware update (for the router/modem) or limit the connections you are making at one time. There is piece of software which allows you to change it, I cannot remember what it is called now... I will have a look and if I find it I will edit this post.
