Imtoo AVI to DVD converter keeps dying on me minutes before it's finished doing a DVD?
It happened the first time yesterday so tried it again but it died again so I tried a different film and it's just done it again. Did one the other day with no problems. Is there a general reason this could be happening or just my luck?
Rep will be left for any help x

Have you tried restarting the computer?

Other than that.........delete it and reinstall it. :)

not too sure, but it could just be due to the film being to large to fit on to a disk. There should be an option to lower the quality so its a smaller file. Failing that there is a program called dvdshrink that can compress them. However, If you wish to try another convertor I recommend winavi. I have been using that myself and have had no problems.

I did wonder that which is y I did another, shorter film but without luck. Thing is I'm not very good with all this kinda thing and only know what I 'know' if you get what I mean, so everthing else sounds bit complicated for me lol. Thanks for info hun, and if it still doesn't work after a few more tries I'll take a look at the winavi you've suggested. Thanks again sweet:thumbsup:

i personally would use a program called "ConvertXtoDVD" it is pretty good, although you do have to pay for it (unless you find it on an unsavory website :p)
I have used it for ages without any hassleat all, will let you add a good 7-8 hours to a normal sized disc, managed to get all of Heroes: Season 2 on to 2 discs!!

what i usually do is convert it with winavi, then compress it with dvdshrink with then burns the disk itself when its finished (using nero). Doing this I have managed to fit a whole season of south park to a dvd before with a fair amount of space remaining ;-D
