I thought you wanted to drag and drop the files? You can't do this. What you can do is add them to iTunes, and then transfer them from there. There some good apps which play different video formats.

After you transfer it you don't need to keep it on your hard drive. You should though. I have the 32gb iPad, and find myself swapping movies now and again! Apps are getting a lot bigger

so any videos/music i download from torrents, i can import them into itunes, and then sync?

can i use my portabble harddrive for this? itunes wont lose the area where the music is stored will it resulting in them annoying exclamation points when it cant find the song?

Apple have a web site with videos showing you how it works. It's as tricky as opening the fridge.

In iTunes, there is a "Manually Manage Music" checkbox. If you have this selected, when you have the ipad connected, you can just drag the music over into iTunes, but drop it on the iPad instead of the library.

youll need to keep them on your pc so itunes can see them
copy them off your harddrive and put in a folder on the desktop

surely you will want to put Honeycomb on it

Use iFunBox: http://www.i-funbox.com/, if you don't want to use iTunes.
