My fridge is too cold and has been freezing things. It has a dial with 1 to 5 on it but which is coldest 1 or 5? Don't want to turn it the wrong way and make it even worse. Sorry dumb question I know.

5 is the coldest, but mines on 2 and a half, to be honest unless your fridge is on 5 it shouldnt be freezing things

Hi welcome you will need to put the dial to 3 thats about right for the proper temp.:)

Thanks guys. It's on 3. I'll try turning it to 1. It's probably on it's last legs. I would expect the opposite and for it to be too hot in all this weather. Think i'll be looking on deals soon for a cheap fridge lol.

turn it down to 2, it sounds like its crackered though, it shouldnt be freezing at that temp, although if food is touching back of fridge it will freeze it

iwas slightly baffled by this yesterday, mine has been set to 3 all year and has been good/ok, got in from work yesterday and the food was warmer, still cold (ish) but warmer, i turned it up to 6 :giggle: for about an hour, so that it re-chilled my beers, and what ever food was in there, but I was uncertain to whether or not the the numbers were like a tmeperature scale 1 being cold and 7 being warm...

luckuly i guessed correctly

it's been freezing my lettuce for a while now but that is probably touching the back but now it has started freezing pepsi in a bottle in the door. Nice to have a very chilled pepsi but i'm worried it may explode.

mine starts to freeze suff If its much over 2.

Lettuce with ice on is so useless, its happened to me

i've turned it to 2 and thrown away the lettuce which looks like it will turn to slime when it defrosts. Perhaps i should stock up on chocolate instead.

why not start a business....selling icecubes?

I have 1-3 on mine, left says coldest right says cold, so assuming that 3 for me is the coldest one.

If my fridge is too high and my yoghurts etc are near the back of the fridge they freeze lol.

Oh and mine has been like this since day 1.

Mine freezes things too. i'm always knocking the button and changing the temp where i try and jam too much in

Mine has a thermostat control.. I set it to 3 degrees celcius. Get a thermometer and see if your fridge is too cold inside.... if its freezing things you need to turn it up slightly hon i.e towards 2 or 3 .. 5 is cooler x x
#18
LOL at this post, when ours is on 3 it starts freezing and it is a 4 month old fridge, so we keep it on 2 and it's the perfect temp..
