I would of thought so depending on the type of house insurance you have .. you may have to pay the first £50 or so ?
would it worth claiming ?
will this mean your tiling would be ruined to fix it ? If so this could bump the price up quite a bit !

not if i get it replaced with the same unit
:?

doubt it as normal wear & tear isnt covered. not really worth the hassle as the barrel showers are only £30-£40 each.

they should be universal fittings btw..

I'd look at your policy and see what the exclusions are, if wear and tear is in there you'll probably have to pay for it yourself.

Depends on **cough** **ahem** how much damage it did when it shot water all over your nice bathroom fittings and solid wood flooring!

what with the xs - hardly worth committing insurance fraud.

Depends really after a barn fire/arson attack at my father in laws farm they claimed and said they wasn't sure if they had covered all the items destroyed, insurance company said no problem just let us know within 6 months of anything else you find missing and we will sort it out, come harvest season and calving time over 5 grand in tools and equipment where realised to be missing/destroyed as its only when you come to use something that is maybe used for 2 weeks a year that you miss it, insurance company informed they said no can do only the original claim can be honoured, so in our opinion a few extra quid is from them is not too bad, their insurance costs them almost £12,000 a year for cars/tractors/agricultaral equipment/buildings/contents/4x4's/cows/legal etc. etc.. They have used the same insurance as a family for 50 years so get a friendly discount and the nearest quote from anyone else is £18,500. In addition as family my OH gets good contents cover at around a half of competitors quotes!

It was only 2 months later!

Terrible I suppose it was done all over the phone so you had no proof of the 6 months rule?

Isnt it more cost effective to buy a new one rather than pay your excess and loose you NCB?
