would them 2 programs find it from my recyle bin because i just had a go at it and didnt see any options
#4
Just ran restoration on mine and it seems to work fine:thinking:
#5
how did u get it to find deleted files from recycle bin
#6
It finds all deleted files, but if you know the file name or part of the name type it in the search window
#7
when the little box pops ups (winzip self extractor),and then it has unzip folder underneath it.what folder should i choose to get my deleted folder back from my recycle bin
#8
You need to extract the program to run it, normally you have an extract all option,or just click on the unzip folder
#9
when i click on unzip foler it just pops up and says 4 unzipped files

An easier way....

Right click on zip file, select extract to [foldername], ensure desktop is selected for location, click ok.

Now look on desktop and you should see a folder [folder name]. Go in it and there are your files  HTH

You're not having much luck with this Vista Upgrade.

Yes, if you unzip there, then just go in to that folder once it's done and your files should be there.

Keep plugging away with Vista, now i'm used to it and have it working properly i'm not going back to XP.

right i managed to do it,but i changed the folder to desktop and then went on my desktop and found a icon called restoration so i clicked on it,and it looks the right one,it said search deleted files on the left hand side with a search box above so i searched and then it said

access denied please log onto an account with administrator priveledges

I AM A ADMINISTRATOR AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

[mod]#18
Go to Control Panel and the 'User Control And Family Safety' Tab and just double check that you're user is set to Administrator.

[SIZE=2]If it is set to Administrator then try and repeat the search thing again and it **should** ask you to click continue to carry on with your administrator privilage.[/SIZE]
