I got around 200gb of data on an external hard drive but when i go to explore the HD, I can see only several folders totalling around 30MB!

Anyone know where the files have gone or how i may be able to recover them?

FYI the drive is a BUFFALO DrivestStation (USB) 1TB.

Thanks in advance for any help Guys n' Gals.

The data is in files because the drive will be encrypted with NTFS. The only way to view its contents would be through an OS other than Windows. Download or order an Ubuntu linux live cd, put it in your cd drive, turn your computer on, boot from disc, plug HDD in, voila.

Recuva only sets the 'deleted' flag on the hidden files to 'undeleted'. Your files have not been deleted.
