I foolishly stuck a deal with a HUKD's user Gareth Quilt on here, quite some weeks ago now.
£55 for a Black NDS and accessories, i paid via Bank Transfer, Gareth got suspended but assured me he would send the goods.. I got NOTHING!
After many PM's e-mails and contacts on Facebook which were ignored he eventually came back and said he'd refund my money if i sent him my Bank Details, which i did... Still Nothing!

You can see the thread here:

I looked into it a little further and surprise surprise im not the first person to be in this situation with Gareth.

How come this guy hasnt been banned?
Id appreciate all you HUKD'ers to post on this thread if you think Mr Gareth Quilt's (and any other amoral individuals) actions are unacceptable.

And please DO NOT ENTER INTO A DEAL WITH HIM.

I do. The lad is so naive to think that there will be no repercussions from this.
He's been banned from starting FS threads.
On advice im going to get the Police involved and take him to the small claims court where he'll end up having to pay back more than he owed originally.

The lad is away with the Fairies.

He keeps telling me how busy he his, how long exactly does it take to make a payment?
He must have a heavy schedule of watching Jeremy Kyle then listening to happy hardcore whilst he gets ready to go down Wetherspoons to spend the money that he skanks from people on here.

Great. Make sure that you follow it up. These kind of people really anger me.

Definately do this, the police will issue you with a crime number and make enquiries following your information.
Print off correspondance between the two of you and your paypal transaction. I have seen them follow this up before, in the instance of paying £200 for a car, and then never getting the car. They take it pretty seriously.

In the meantime, sign him up to every free catalogue and spam mail you can think of!!

erm, before doing the catalogue thing, can you varify that address? did he give you a phone number as well to make contact?

I mean, you could end up harrassing innocent lives there

Just a quick update on this!

When e-mail after e-mail was ignored i compiled all the evidence and took it to the police. They had a look through the detail and organised to come to my house to look at it more closely.

They came back with the old chestnut about it being a civil matter (who could have seen that one coming?)
Basically i was left with the option of taking it to the small claims court which to my mind would have been a pretty open and shut case albeit a pain in the **** and about £130 to shell out to register it in the first place.
I did a bit of detective work and ended up with a phone number which eventually lead me to Gareths number.
At this stage i had £45 owing to me... Again he made promises to to pay and failed to do so.
Gareth sent me a message apologising and saying that due to him taking the p!ss he would pay me £50 but he couldnt until the week later.

I told him i didnt want £50, just the £45 owed i suggested him sending it via Paypal which he agreed... He sent £40 and said he'd not sent the full amount due to interest and paypal fee's.

Not happy with this (out of principal more than anything) i told him i wanted the other £5 i got the usual response about paying it next Tuesday, he even promised and said "Trust me" :w00t:

To cut a long story short i dropped him an e-mail via facebook to say i see the £5 hasnt gone in to which i have now received e-mails full of expletives and threats.... the usual i know where you live rubbish!!!!

To be honest i really arent bothered about £5... id probably pay the scumbag £5 to disappear but this is just a word of warning DO NOT DEAL WITH GARETH QUILT.

****Not only because he's unscrupulous but i could hardly understand a word he wrote****

Thanks for all those that tried to help have some Rep

I had a sneaky suspicion this might happen!

check this out, what a pathetic little scumbag!
http://www.hotukdeals.com/forum-feedback?user_id=112016

For the record at no time did i even suggest that id pass his details out, its simply not my style. This thread demonstrates that i tried to operate through the appropriate channels and where possible i did so as amicably as the situation allowed.
banned#16
i shouldnt worry about it, leaving negative feedack from you will warn others, as for the feedback you received most people will check it out, so dont worry about it, if more people would leave neg instead of fearing the neg they'll get then most crap sellers would fade away
#17
I would contact the moderators and ask if it can be removed, as it appears to be retaliatory.
#18
I would leave a link to this thread in his feedback from you so people can see what really happened - but then again i dont even know if thats allowed so dont follow my advice before checking
