think most jeans are covered as they normally say on labels to expect fading unless it was really bad and patchy can't see them refunding

Mind wash your denims inside out - that helps keep colour for a bit longer

Definitely try getting them changed OP

I'd take them back, of course youre entitled to a refund, you answered your own question. They're not fit for purpose! :)

All jeans fade a little on their first wash.

Depends on how much they faded surely? A little bit, you'll have to live with it, if it's that bad that as you say they're ruined, then you can return them.

You must expect some fading, but if you can show in store against a new pair that it's significant I cant see how they can refuse.

Got them returned no questions asked! :) Hopefully this pair won't end the same!

you know you shouldn't wash your jeans as much as you wash your tops?
