I dunno, years ago it used to be a case of if the seal was broken they wouldn't take it back but these days the seal tends to be broken because they pre insert the sim for ya with majority of them.

Would maybe be worth an email or quick phone call to the catalogue you want to buy from, see what there policy is.

Normally some catalogues have a money back satisfaction thing. But like Ashley said, i would give them a quick call and send it back asap. I dont see it being a problem though, providing you havent waited months

DSL. 7 days to return anything.

not anything sadly, and these days, mobile phones can be specific for the person if they insert sims etc.

What the OP should do is ring and say it was opened and used and you want to send it back, for a refund. honesty is never the best policy with returns.

Then you would be wrong.
Software is exempt, personal designs or manufacture specs, phones or any service that is immediately available to you as a customer, unless the goods are damaged. If in this case the sim has been activated, then the OP as has been mentioned has no right of return unless the catalogue company has a policy of their own allowing it, or the provider (Orange, Vodaphone ) etc. has an exchange policy.

No harm in asking though, if you don't ask you don't recieve.
