Retailers will no longer routinely accept old-style 20 pound notes after June 30, though the Bank of England will exchange them indefinitely and commercial banks and building societies will continue to accept them from customers for several months.

No, banks won't accept them - just pop it in an envelope & send it to me - I'll take care of it for you.

Actually, any bank will change it for you.
Thanks for the reply's i'll have a wander down the bank later on !
tbh i had a couple last week and my post office swapped them for me. might be worth a try before going into town.
As the comment above post offices and banks will change them for the next few months and then after they stop taking them its only the bank of england that will always change them.
So can the old £20 now be faked very decently and easily?
