I think it depends on what type of gift certificates they are. I've applied some gift certificates to my account and later used the balance to buy stuff from marketplace traders before.

depnds of whether it is promotional (16 digit) or not (14 digit)

That's weird, they both say that gift certificates can't be used on marketplace items but I have definitly used my gift certificate balnce to buy a DVD boxset off an marketplace seller

This is my order for it, note the seller Bananafudge and the use of my gift certificate balance

Yes you can - I do so all the time with my balance. But maybe some diffs as mentioned above, but I've never had an order refused from my balance...

You may still be able to as both me and Liddle have ordered with non Amazon sellers with gift certificates, I'd wait a bit as more people may give a better answer later on

Ive used vouchers before with Marketplace sellers was a few months back tho.

Why not add a marketplace item to your basket and take it to the checkout page it will tell you if its accepted it or not before you commit to buy

I have used vouchers for marketplace sellers in more than one order, BUT, it only works with some.

Not sure how they decide whether or not the vouchers are accepted, but I placed an order with about 3 different marketplace sellers at the same time, and it accepted the vouchers for 2 of them but not the third (even though there was plenty left).

If you go to the checkout page you will be able to tell, its worth checking it out though because you can definitely use them with SOME sellers

Hey

This does work, i just tried adding a pair of sandals to my basket from wynsors, and i have to pay the postage as its not amazon super saver delivery, but the gift code will work for this item, so thanks alot, never knew this
