Can junk mail get any lower than this? Can I report them?

I've seen some scum misleading junk mail before but this takes the biscuit.

The yellow bits were the front and back as delivered.

Gonna send a brick back with their freepost label on the front.

Surely the ASA would fine them for this, no?

Pathetic really. Some dear will fall for it.

Send back a box, hooked up to some pepper spray so that when they open it the spray is triggered and they are blinded :) Either that or send some sh*t in a bag :)

Report them to trading standards and ASA as this is 'scare mail'.

Love the idea of sending junk back, may use my dog poop bags next time, obviously fresh filled from a walk.

Hopefully they'll not be so lazy now they have a use for them. I personally detest that type of dog walker. At least when these junk mailers send S**t they get S**t back, seems a fair exchange, especially these scare mailers.

even I was a bit shocked to spot it on my doorstep. Thought it was a new stealth tax!

i doubt freepost covered parcels, although maybe all the bricks could help royal mail build some more post offices.

They don't need to build any more they just need to stop closing the ones they have.

I would report these people if I had received this.

lol csi, I phoned them about the exact same thing. Got me worried when it came through the door lol.

Luckily for them they were too busy to take the call, otherwise they were getting a mouthful from me!

I should've PM'd you about it and you could've decked the guy delivering them when he got to yours.

My name is Casey Bowden and I'm the sales director at Harvey Water Softeners. I'm so sorry for sending these leaflets out and our company would like to apologise unreservedly, particularly to any people that may have been unnecessarily worried. This was a new idea that we were testing - the trial has been stopped with immediate effect and no more leaflets are going out. I authorised this and take personal responsibility, I'm getting it in the neck from our staff, customers and potential customers and feel terrible. I honestly believed that it was a good way of getting people's attention and am so sorry that it has caused so much offence.

We are an honest company that is doing an honest job and our reputation is critical to us. We generate a huge amount of our business through recommendation and I seriously regret jeopardising this. We really would like to assure people that we were not trying to scare people into responding, we were just trying to get people's attention, in the belief they would realise it was a marketing stunt. We really do believe in our product but this over-enthusiasm on my part has taught me a valuable lesson and I'm going to make sure that I use a marketing company in the future. Once again I am very, very sorry.

When marketing goes bad lol. Has to be said, thats the most apologetic and sincere sounding company representation I've ever seen on this site, and I'd give them the benefit of doubt of a bad error of judgment, even with their prior mistakes...
